Study Guide
8 sessions for small groups, family groups, and Bible study meetings.
This guide is designed to help your group move from reading to conversation, and from conversation to real change. Each session maps to one or two chapters in the book. The structure is simple: read the chapters during the week, then gather to talk honestly about what you found there.
The guide gives you an opening question, a key passage, a set of discussion questions, a group activity, and a closing prayer direction. That is all you need.
What each session covers
- Session 1: Why Love? and the foundation of 1 Corinthians 13
- Session 2: What Love Actually Is, and Love Is Patient
- Session 3: Love Is Kind, and Love Does Not Envy
- Session 4: Love Does Not Boast, and Love Is Not Proud
- Session 5: Love Does Not Dishonour Others, and Love Is Not Self-Seeking
- Session 6: Love Is Not Easily Angered, and Love Keeps No Record of Wrongs
- Session 7: Love Rejoices in Truth, and Love Always Protects, Trusts, Hopes, Perseveres
- Session 8: Love Never Fails, and what it means to bear the image of God
How it works
Each group member needs a copy of the book. The study guide is free. Print one per person, or share the PDF on a screen during your meeting. Each session takes 60 to 90 minutes.
Some of the questions are uncomfortable. That is by design. The book does not shy away from hard truths, and neither should your group. But honesty requires safety. Set that tone from the first session.

This guide works best when the group is honest.
Pick the questions your group needs. Skip the ones that do not land.
The goal is conversation, not completion.
