Memory verses

Learn a verse in four short steps: read it, fill the gaps, then type the first letter of each word until you can do it from memory. After that it comes back for a quick review: tomorrow, then after 2 days, 4, 8 and so on, further apart each time you know it.

Your verses

Tap any verse in a chapter, then Memorize in the bar that opens. Or start with a set below.

    Start with a set

Whole passages, each split into short parts you learn one at a time, in the translation you read.

    How it works

    1. Read it and listen. The verse is read aloud (the Berean Standard Bible recording) while you follow along.
    2. Fill the gaps. Every third word is missing. Tap the right one from the words underneath.
    3. Every other word. Half the words are hidden, then the other half. Type the first letter of each word.
    4. From memory. Only the reference is left. Type the first letter of every word. Get 90% of them and the verse is learned.

Then it comes back for a short review: tomorrow, after 2 days, 4, 8 and so on, up to six months apart. Miss one and it comes round again sooner. Never more than 10 in a day. Put verses in groups, like folders: all the love passages together, or the verses for a hard season. Everything stays on your device, with no account; a backup file from Your notes carries it to a new phone.
